The site gets a player through the door. The portal is what makes sure something is written down about them after every session.
No Limits Basketball is a Melbourne academy with two venues in Box Hill South — elite skills training, athletic performance, 24/7 shooting memberships, junior programmes, holiday camps and online training. I built its public site end to end, and alongside it the staff portal its coaches open every session.
The public site is WordPress: a page per programme, bios for more than fifteen coaches, the two venues, a blog and recruitment, with booking handing off to Pike13. It is loud where the brand is loud — condensed caps, the flame, orange on black — and tuned to score above 90 on performance despite the photography.
The portal is the quieter half and the more useful one. It is mobile-first because a coach is standing courtside with a phone. Each session's roster comes in from Pike13 on its own; the coach confirms attendance and writes a note and a goal against every player, and each player carries a progress history. On top of that the academy gets accountability: a report of players who are overdue a note, and a leaderboard of which coaches are keeping up.
