Koda is a wellness and self-care app built around a companion: a small forest spirit who walks you through daily rituals — morning routines and evening wind-downs — with kind reminders, habits and streaks, and a mood journal. I built it end to end.
The product decision was tone. Habit apps nag; Koda does not. Every ritual you complete, the spirit notices; every one you miss, it lets go. The home screen is Koda standing in a meadow above today's list, a progress bar for the current adventure and the goals left for the day, and the whole interface is painted rather than flat — mountains, grass, a sky that the store panels lean on too.
Around the rituals sit smaller rooms: a mood journal with a face per day, mini apps for meditation, journaling, a focus timer, sleep, gratitude and grounding, a customisable page with your own widget image, Wind's Rhythm breathing sessions with rain and wave soundscapes, and Bottle Notes — write a thought, let it float. Koda Plus unlocks the deeper set.
