An addendum is not new work. It is a document, and the job is reading it once, correctly, for everyone it touches.
Addenda is a construction-bidding tool: it reads a bid addendum, works out which subcontractors it touches, and drafts the notice to each one for an estimator to review and send. It had to turn a document nobody wants to read twice into minutes of work.
An addendum can run a hundred and eighty pages and change what six trades are bidding on before Friday's deadline. I built the page that reads it first: every change extracted and cited to its page, mapped to a CSI division, then drafted into one notice per sub — nothing sent until someone reviews it.
The centrepiece is the routing matrix: changes down the side, trade packages across the top, every cell an editable decision, and every row carrying the page it was cited from.
